Battery life naturally decreases over time and with cycle count, as outlined in the Manufacturer's warranty based on years and mileage. However, there are ways to help extend the lifespan of your battery:
Maintain SOC between 20% and 80%
Avoid keeping the battery at high SOC (above 80%) for extended periods, especially in hot weather.
Avoid keeping the battery at low SOC (below 20%) for extended periods, especially in cold weather.
Prevent overheating
Try to keep the battery temperature below 38°C to minimize degradation.
Use slow charging when possible
AC charging is generally better for battery longevity than frequent DC fast charging.
Additionally, you can monitor your battery management habits using the Battery Management Score in Dr.EV.
Please check the Battery Page in Dr.EV to track degraded battery capacity and health. This data updates each time you charge.
We also recommend using Cell Balancing Mode on Dr. EV's Charge Page to help maintain battery efficiency.
